About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Slot Technician Manager to effectively manage all slot performance personnel-related matters. This includes interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and terminating staff. The role involves resolving equipment operation discrepancies with internal personnel, gaming regulatory agency employees, and customers. The manager will review and analyze reports related to slot equipment performance, investigate deviations, and organize machine placement on the casino floor, coordinating installations, moves, and conversions. Additionally, the position requires conferring with manufacturers and vendors regarding slot equipment and parts, assigning and maintaining work schedules for the slot performance staff, utilizing parts manuals, maintaining an organized inventory, and developing and monitoring periodic maintenance schedules to ensure the efficiency of slot machinery.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of the mechanics, electronics, and electrical functions of gaming machines.
  • Must be able to work with various hand tools and power tools.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift.
  • Must be able to stoop over, kneel, and crouch while repairing gaming machines.
  • Must be able to push and pull machines and maneuver weights up to 80 pounds.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of experience in a similar position preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Confer with manufacturers and vendors in a professional manner regarding slot equipment and parts.
  • Assign and maintain work schedule for the slot performance staff.
  • Utilize parts manuals and maintain an organized inventory.
  • Develop and monitor periodic maintenance schedules to maintain efficiency of slot machinery.
