About The Position

The Slot Technical Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day engineering support during the installation and post installation, technical support of Seneca Territory Gaming Corporation’s slot systems, including all associated hardware. Coordinate the interaction with product trainers and installation coordinators to ensure customer satisfaction. Assist in managing engineering support for customer accounts. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Manage STGC’s slot and system installation/maintenance for slot operations. Develop slot installation, training and maintenance strategies. Investigate on-going slot machine problems and co-ordinate with engineering teams of various slot manufacturers for resolution. 2. Manage and assess the work of the Slot Technical staff. Give out special assignments to the Lead Technicians such as new slot installations. 3. Prepare requisitions for parts, tools, equipment, etc. and forwards to supervisor for approval. 4. Plan, propose, and implement all Slot Technical projects including, denomination conversion, slot moves, progressive installations, promotional events, etc., such as changing from one denomination to another, or relocating slot machines to different areas in the Casino. 5. Responsible for the continuous operation of the department, including addressing employee needs, such as Vacation Time Off or Personal Time Off, Schedules etc., maintaining suitable stocking levels of parts for the repair of Slot Machines, and consulting with suppliers on items in their catalogues. 6. Maintain alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and a general awareness of casino operations at all times. 7. Take appropriate action based on observations, as directed or established by casino policy, procedures or gaming rules and regulations and informs supervisor of any concerns. 8. Train co-workers to perform machine conversions as required or requested. 9. Maintain all necessary and required inventory sheets, lab reports, appraisals. 10. Perform other duties, including special projects, as needed or directed. 11. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times. 12. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff. 13. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies. 14. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment. 15. Attend all necessary meetings. 16. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • Electronics Engineering Diploma.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a technical management capacity within the casino industry.
  • Four (4) or more years of recent and related experience installing, servicing, adjusting and repairing slot and other coin operated machines preferably in a gaming environment.
  • Demonstrated experience providing training, technical direction and guidance to co-workers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer, communication systems, and associated electronic equipment.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • The Employee must frequently lift and/or move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
