About The Position

Slot Supervisors are responsible for the efficient and successful operation of the Slot Floor, ensuring taxable jackpot payouts are verified in compliance with internal controls and gaming regulations. Slot Supervisors are also responsible for delivering an exceptional gaming experience to guests by overseeing Slot Team Members performance, maintaining top-tier guest service, and resolving disputes that may arise.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, required.
  • Minimum six (6) months of slot experience required.
  • Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time and walk the casino floor during the assigned shift.
  • Must be able to move at a fast pace within a busy crowd.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

  • Previous supervisory experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Exceptional guest service skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment when managing challenging situations.
  • Directly supervise Slot Team Members in assigned area.
  • Ensure delivery of outstanding guest service at all times by overseeing the performance of Slot Team Members.
  • Ensure assigned Slot Team Members are performing duties as outlined.
  • Verify and initiate hand pays, taxable jackpots and other payouts.
  • Conduct investigations for Slot related issues.
  • Assist in completion of performance evaluations for Slot Team Members.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance updates with assigned Slot Team Members.
  • Recommend and support progressive management notices as necessary.
  • Maintain an effective daily section schedule and suggest/execute adjustments for proper floor coverage.
  • Ensure the security of funds and equipment within assigned area and shift.
  • Issue equipment to Slot Team Members as required.
  • Report any issues requiring attention to the Slot Shift Manager on shift.
  • Display strong decision-making abilities, motivate Slot Team Members and demonstrate effective supervisory abilities.
  • Adhere to all SCR & Tribal Internal Controls and SCR Operational Polices & Procedures.
  • Maintain excellent guest relations and uphold and SCR Guest Service Standards.
  • Engage with all team members and guests with tact, diplomacy and patience at all times.
  • Foster positive interactions with guests and fellow team members consistently.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to maintain a positive and professional image.
  • Solve practical problems and manage situations with limited standardization by interpreting a range of variables.
  • Ability to interpret various instructions, whether written, oral, diagrammatic, or in schedule form.
  • Write reports, business correspondence and procedural instructions effectively.
  • Present information confidently and address questions from Managers, Directors, Vendors, Gaming Regulators, Auditors, Guests and the general public.
  • Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable schedule in alignment with business needs, and maintain consistent attendance.
  • Must adhere to all SCR appearance standards.
  • Perform special projects and additional tasks not outlined as assigned.
  • Remain on feet, waking or standing for more than 90% of the shift and work in occasionally hot, noisy or physically demanding conditions, including bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting and/or carrying tools and other supplies.

  • Take on special projects and other tasks, as needed. Perform duties at all SCR Satellite locations.
  • Transport Slot Team Members to and from SCR Satellite locations in a SCR-owned vehicle.
