A Slot Host is responsible for monitoring and assisting guests on the casino floor to ensure a positive gaming and entertainment experience while protecting company assets and complying with all applicable regulations. This position requires adherence to Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) core values, policies, procedures, and gaming regulations established by the Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board/Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority, as well as federal and state requirements. The Slot Host manages sensitive keys and pouch pay currency banks, processes hand-pay jackpots, exchanges currency, maintains required logs and records, assists with guest concerns, and communicates effectively with slot, security, and surveillance personnel via radio. The role requires knowledge of slot machine operations, the ability to troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions, complete accurate paperwork, perform arithmetic calculations, and work independently with minimal supervision. The position also demands flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours while maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude. In addition to operational duties, the Slot Host plays a critical customer service role by building relationships with guests through friendly, personalized interactions, learning guest preferences, providing information on casino amenities, promotions, and special events, and ensuring timely responses to player needs. Responsibilities also include maintaining casino floor cleanliness, monitoring for suspicious activity, supporting a secure environment, and maintaining professional relationships with coworkers, vendors, and the public.
