About The Position

Responsible for the coordination of all Slot Attendants in providing efficient service to all slot guests and ensures slot machines are monitored on a continual basis for full capacity operation. This role involves processing jackpot wins, supervising payouts, ensuring machines are operational by maintaining ticket paper, and servicing minor machine malfunctions. The Slot Floor Person also addresses guest needs and requests, assists in maintaining slot floor security, and stays current with gaming laws and property policies. Additionally, they promote departmental and property-wide promotions, foster positive guest relations, and contribute to a positive work environment by encouraging respect, idea sharing, and employee development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to two years slot floor experience
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required
  • Must possess a Level 2 Gaming License
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.

Responsibilities

  • Processes jackpot wins and notifies the Shift Supervisor as needed.
  • Supervises necessary authorization (request for jackpot) and pay out of hand-paid jackpots in accordance with policy.
  • Ensures that slot machines are filled with ticket paper, so as to keep machines in constant operation.
  • Services minor machine and printer malfunctions.
  • Notifies slot supervisors, Shift Managers, or slot mechanics of guest needs and requests, follows up to ensure positive guest relations.
  • Assists in maintaining slot floor security by notifying department heads of any suspicious activity.
  • Maintains current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as the property’s internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Promotes departmental and property-wide promotions with all guests.
  • Promotes positive guest relations through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
  • Creates an atmosphere of fun for all casino guests.
  • Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all employees, by setting positive examples at all times.
  • Instills an atmosphere that encourages employees to share ideas, discuss concerns and resolve conflicts.
  • Retains employees through involvement in employee training and development.
  • Explains why we do things, in advance of doing them.
