The Slot Attendant is responsible for interacting with slot machine players, observing the slot machine area, and safeguarding all assets under their control. This role involves performing short pays, hand pays, and canceled credits, as well as assisting customers with change and providing complementary beverages. The Slot Attendant is also responsible for accounting for the change bank, freeing jammed tickets and currency in bill acceptors, and restocking tickets in slot machine printers. Direct contact with the gaming public requires the Slot Attendant to maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism, avoiding any appearance of wrongdoing. They must communicate observations on operations and gaming matters to supervisors. Knowledge of computer applications including word processing, databases, data entry, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook is required. Appropriate work attire and department uniform are mandatory. The role requires attendance at all mandatory department training, including Title 31 and/or SAR training. A gaming identification badge must be obtained to work on casino property. Confidentiality of financial and employee records is essential. The Slot Attendant must display a responsive and professional manner in handling requests, complaints, and problems, representing the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa with courtesy, respect, and sensitivity. Maintaining proper attendance and a clean work area are also key responsibilities. Flexibility and willingness to assume additional duties as assigned by management are necessary.
