About The Position

The Slot Attendant is responsible for interacting with slot machine players, observing the slot machine area, and safeguarding all assets under their control. This role involves performing short pays, hand pays, and canceled credits, as well as assisting customers with change and providing complementary beverages. The Slot Attendant is also responsible for accounting for the change bank, freeing jammed tickets and currency in bill acceptors, and restocking tickets in slot machine printers. Direct contact with the gaming public requires the Slot Attendant to maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism, avoiding any appearance of wrongdoing. They must communicate observations on operations and gaming matters to supervisors. Knowledge of computer applications including word processing, databases, data entry, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook is required. Appropriate work attire and department uniform are mandatory. The role requires attendance at all mandatory department training, including Title 31 and/or SAR training. A gaming identification badge must be obtained to work on casino property. Confidentiality of financial and employee records is essential. The Slot Attendant must display a responsive and professional manner in handling requests, complaints, and problems, representing the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa with courtesy, respect, and sensitivity. Maintaining proper attendance and a clean work area are also key responsibilities. Flexibility and willingness to assume additional duties as assigned by management are necessary.

  • Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation’s Personnel Policies.
  • Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for interaction with the slot machine players and to observe the activities of the slot machine area.
  • Safeguards all assets under his or her control.
  • Must be available to perform short pays, hand pays, and canceled credits.
  • Always makes themselves available to the customer for any assistance needed including change, providing complementary beverages, etc...
  • Accounts for the change bank.
  • Frees tickets and currency that are jammed in slot machines bill acceptors.
  • Restock tickets in slot machine ticket printers.
  • The Slot Attendant has direct contact with the gaming public. Their conduct must always be above reproach and represent the highest level of integrity.
  • The Slot attendant must always conduct themselves in a manner, which absolutely avoids even the appearance of wrongdoing.
  • The Slot Attendant needs to communicate his or her observations on operations, gaming or other matters to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, data bases and/ or data entry, spreadsheets and Microsoft Outlook is required.
  • Appropriate work attire is required. Department uniform is required and provided to the employee, which must be worn during the scheduled work hours unless prior arrangements have been made with management.
  • Must attend all mandatory department training.
  • Must attend all required Title 31 and/or SAR training.
  • Ability to obtain a gaming identification badge to work in and around Casino property and facilities.
  • Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members and/or clients.
  • Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
  • Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
  • Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
  • Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.

Benefits

  • Probationary Period: 90 days – Full time 120 days part time
  • Rate of Pay: $13.2 to $15.55 plus tips
  • Department uniform is provided to the employee
