About The Position

Ensures customer service aspects of slot operations run smoothly. Reports to the Operations Shift Manager/Director of Gaming Operations. This role involves ensuring compliance with all regulations, maintaining effective working relationships, providing proactive customer service, performing ticket fills and jackpot payments, authorizing slot payouts, circulating the slot floor to ensure cleanliness and functionality, performing minor repairs on slot machines, and assisting with general upkeep like pushing in chairs and emptying cups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Able to comprehend basic mechanical slot machine functions & perform minor mechanical repairs such as bill jams, printer jams, etc.
• Well organized, produces legible and accurate paperwork & possess good cash handling skills.
• Willing and able to work non-traditional schedules, particularly nights and weekends.
• Able to spend extended periods standing and walking.
• Able to work in potentially stressful conditions (i.e. noisy, crowded, smoky, busy).
• Strong customer service skills, personality, and orientation.
• Able to remain composed when dealing with irate customers.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Bending, stooping and crawling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, Internal Controls and company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain effective working relationships with Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission Representatives, particularly the duty to disclose and cooperate per IRGC rule 13.2(1)h.
• Maintain effective working relationships with other departments and employees.
• Ensure proactive customer service, personally resolving customer problems as required.
• Performs ticket fills & jackpot payments per Internal Controls.
• Authorizes slot payouts per Internal Controls.
• Circulate the slot floor to make sure everything is clean and in working order.
• Perform minor repairs, such as printer issues, bill jams and any other small repair that may be required by the guest.
• Help push in chairs and empty cups when needed.
