About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide exceptional customer service to guests and promote positive guest relations. The Slot Attendant is responsible for responding to guest requests, providing information, assisting guests in playing and reading machines, filling empty machine hoppers, delivering hand payouts or jackpots, and performing minor slot machine maintenance and repairs. This role also ensures compliance with state and NIGA regulations, notifies supervisors of potential issues, and performs other duties as assigned. The position requires extensive interaction with guests and visitors, as well as frequent contact with internal associates. The work is performed on the gaming floor and may involve exposure to temperature differentials, spills, wet floors, and challenging guest behaviors. Physical requirements include the ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, or lift for extended periods. The Slot Attendant must be able to obtain a license from the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Gaming Commission and work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, with availability for call-ins. Professional and personable conduct is essential, with respect and consideration for all individuals.

Requirements

  • A High School education or equivalent.
  • Experience in a customer focused environment is required.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to accurately handle money and exhibit basic math skills.
  • Must maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations as necessary.
  • Must be able to be licensed by the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Gaming Commission.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience within a gaming environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience with PC’s and related software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to guest requests, provides information and assists guests in a timely manner.
  • Assists guests on how to play and read machines.
  • Responsible for filling empty machine hoppers and contacting security according to operating procedures.
  • Delivers all hand payouts or jackpots to guests after completion of all necessary forms in relationship to hand payouts or jackpots.
  • Performs minor slot machine maintenance and repairs such as unjamming hoppers or repairing minor slot machine malfunctions.
  • Ensures compliance with State, NIGA regulations and Minimal Internal Control Standards.
  • Notifies supervisor, security or facility administrator of situations that may affect guests, associates or the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
