Testing of equipment

Outstanding troubleshooting skills
Good judgment with decision making in regards to Safety and Quality.
Ability to complete production related documentation on both computer and paper forms
Excellent team skills
Ability to take direction from several individuals
Ability to work additional overtime if required to get the job tasks completed
Self-motivated and ability to make decisions
2-3 years of experience in production, slitting and printing setting
Shift Flexibility is a requirement

Multiple machine qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Setting up the machine, running production of the slitter, cleaning of the slitter and all maintenance on the slitting machines.
Operating machines to slit continuous lengths of laminated film into specified widths that meet customer quality specifications.
Packing off the slitter for shipping, when required.
Identifying and ensuring that proper materials are used for production.
Ensuring mistakes are not made and materials match as necessary.
Managing pre-run testing of the material to ensure the correct coding weights and bond strength are applied.
Running the proper amount of material/footage to the job order.
Completing proper checking of production and material.
Cleaning the slitter daily; organizing machine and material parts during closing operations.
Preparing for production at the end of each day for the following day.
Spacing rotary blades on the machine shaft, according to width specified on slitting work order.
Loading material on machine supports and threading material over tension bar.
Starting machine and observing flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and/or winding.
Moving levers to stop, start, and regulate speed of machine and to align material with rotary blades.
Disengaging winding shaft and removing finished rolls of material.
Wrapping rollstock in poly liners using core plugs. Labeling, palletizing and filling out manifest for custom orders.
Completing required documentation accurately and timely.
Meeting or exceeding prescribed job standards for line speeds, scrap and set-up times.
Reporting any necessary maintenance of the machine to the engineering department using a written work order.
Reporting any unsafe working conditions to the production supervisor.
Participating in on-going training opportunities and supporting a continuous quality improvement environment.
Reviewing work instructions and procedures that are applicable to the position.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Turning on auxiliary and other equipment as needed.
Loading and unloading trucks as needed.
