About The Position

Wieland is hiring a Slitter Operator. The Slitter Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating their machine and ensuring a quality product in a safe manner. This role is located in Warwick, RI and will be fully on-site. Hourly Pay Range : $29.73 Work Schedule : 6:00am to 2:30pm Pay Schedule : Weekly At Wieland, we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include but are not limited to years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
Minimum one-year manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Select clearance and tooling that will cut material per customer specs
Install tooling onto machine and inspect for any scratches or abrasions
Select and install correct take up arbor and if required guide rolls
Inspect material before inserting machine to verify it meets the customer specs
After material is inserted check gauge, width, camber, and any special specs required by customer
Inspect material as it is running for any imperfections
Reinspect to make sure that nothing has changed after running
Watch operation to ensure safety
Adjust when necessary to ensure a good quality product
Tape the coils and remove them from machine
Pre-pack material for shipping
