About The Position
Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Slitter Operator position at their Villa Rica I facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. Qualified candidates should have experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- At least 1 year of experience operating a machine is preferred
- Internal Candidates: Last performance review was rated “Performer” or higher
- No disciplinary actions beyond a written within the past 120 days
- Must be in current position for at least 120 days.
Responsibilities
- Prepare master rolls for slitting
- Place rolls in machine and prepare for splicing
- Properly segregate and label all materials
- Ensure your own safety while operating the machine and that of those assisting with operations
- Communicate orally and/or in writing to other departments for resolution of mechanical problems, reporting defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers and daily shift information
- Ability to troubleshoot if needed
- Understand and follow Food Safety GMPs
