About The Position

The Slitter Operator is responsible for producing first-quality material with minimal waste and downtime in a safe and efficient manner, while achieving key performance indicators (KPIs). This role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment and calculating and coordinating the raw materials needed for production.

Requirements

• Positive communication skills.
• Average math and reading skills.
• Ability to use a tape measure and calipers.
• Basic computer skills, including Windows-based programs.
• High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Ability to meet production standards set by the company.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift and move a maximum of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Cut and inspect product to meet or exceed customer requirements, including handling order changes, deletions, and cut-off periods.
• Maintain all paperwork and records correctly and professionally.
• Minimize material waste.
• Keep the work area clean and free of debris.
• Record data using calipers.
• Prepare orders for shipment, verifying product meets customer specifications.
