About The Position
Exciting opportunity to join a friendly team and grow your career within a dynamic, thriving organization! Our Steel Service Center is currently looking to immediately fill a Slitter Helper position due to recent volume increases and demand for our specialized products and services. Candidates must have steel slitting experience!
Requirements
- Past slitting experience (3yr minimum)
- Must be able to work any shift (morning, afternoon, night, graveyard)
- High School diploma or equivalency
- General computer knowledge
- Past experience in steel warehousing
- Ability to operate a forklift as needed
- Ability to read tape measure, micrometer, and caliper
- Knowledge of steel related defects
- Team Player
Responsibilities
- Setup overarm on recoiler according to work order
- Setup slitter for accurate slitting according to work order
- Setup for burr free slitting
- Change slitter heads for job change over
- Inspection of steel for defects
