About The Position

The City of Monticello is currently accepting applications for slide attendants to work at the Monticello Community Center's indoor pool. Applicants must be available nights and weekends. The City offers flexible scheduling, premium pay to employees who work over 20 hours per pay period, and a free single membership to the facility. This role performs routine duties to maintain order and enforce policies for the flume slide users at the Monticello Community Center pool.

Requirements

Must be 16 or older.
Ability to meet customer needs with a positive attitude, while complying with the policies of the aquatic facility.
Ability to enforce flume slide policies and practices.
Ability to work at heights of two stories and to climb a stairway to get to and from assigned position.
Ability to use safety equipment and to perform daily safety checks.
Ability to respond in an emergency and to assist in activating the Emergency Action Plan for the pool area.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Some ability to perform various cleaning tasks around the pool environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure flume slide users are entering the slide at the correct intervals and in an orderly and correct fashion.
Enforces rules and policies in the pool area.
Provide courteous service to patrons while adhering to the policies of the community center and safe practices.
Performs daily safety checks and keeps the area around the slide clean.
Cleans, maintains and stores equipment used.
Reports any equipment or patron problems to the supervisor or Lifeguard.
Prepares incident reports when necessary.
Assists with cleaning the pool area as scheduled.
Assists Lifeguards as requested.
Attends scheduled in-service training sessions and participates in skills training.
Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
