About The Position

A Packager in the Sleeving Department is responsible for labeling and bagging yogurt cups, while ensuring that there are no defects and that the totes are kept clean.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
2 years of production experience and a college degree preferred
Mechanical aptitude an asset
Ability to life up to 50 lbs
Ability to work standing up for extended periods of time
Has excellent communication skills and can work as part of a team
Flexible to work various shift and extended work days

Responsibilities

When the machine is in operation, inspect sleeves for defects, put sleeves in bag and put bag in tote
Receive empty totes and use cleaning solution to clean totes, utilize pallet jack to deliver clean totes to lines as needed
Perform re-work (gather unused cups to be sterilized) as needed
Clean work area periodically, and clean entire line at the end of the shift
Record number of bags produced and the time it took to produce them
When tote is full, complete paperwork to include date, time, shift, tote number and flavor code number
At the end of the shift, ensure all cups are out of the stacker and bagger
Wash bag vessel with paper towel and alcohol solution at the beginning and end of each shift; complete all paperwork verifying vessel is cleaned
Perform other duties as assigned
