The Center for Sleep Disorders is a state-of-the-art facility designed to treat a range of sleep disorders in a relaxing and comfortable environment for patients. It was the first hospital-based sleep center in Brooklyn to receive accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Our interdisciplinary team includes physicians, sleep technologists, sleep health educators, and a board-certified behavioral sleep medicine psychologist who specializes in non-drug insomnia management. Now, you have the opportunity to join us. Sleep Technologist – Sleep Disorder Center – Per Diem - Nights Bring your passion and professionalism to the Sleep Disorder Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist. As a Sleep Technologist, you will work under medical supervision to perform and evaluate overnight polysomnograms. The Sleep Technologists work independently to safety operate sophisticated medical equipment to record sleep and wake physiology. Play a vital role in world-renowned care, using the newest paradigms and best practices in polysomnographic care. This a per diem 7:00PM – 8:00AM night shift position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required
  • Graduate of a polysomnographic technology education program acceptable to the New York State Education Department (NYSED)
  • Registration with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
  • New York State Polysomnographic Technologist License
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year experience working as a polysomnographic technologist
  • Minimum of three years experience in a related field
