About The Position
Pivotal Health is expanding and seeking experienced, patient-focused Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGTs) to join our team in West Islip, NY. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography Program
- Current New York Polysomnography License (PSG) and/or New York CRT/RT License
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Ability to work overnight and weekend schedules
- Strong technical aptitude and commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to meet all required health screening and immunization requirements
- Candidates without an RPSGT credential must possess a valid New York PSG or RT license.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) Credential
- Previous sleep laboratory experience
- Experience with PAP therapy and sleep study scoring
Responsibilities
- Perform overnight polysomnographic studies in accordance with AASM standards
- Prepare patients for testing by applying electrodes and monitoring equipment
- Verify proper signal quality and equipment calibration throughout testing
- Monitor, record, and document sleep-related physiological events
- Initiate, monitor, and troubleshoot PAP therapy as ordered
- Score and analyze sleep studies in accordance with established guidelines
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards
- Deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining a safe and comfortable testing environment
