About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) for a daytime role in a busy sleep lab. The role involves conducting and scoring sleep studies, analyzing clinical data, and ensuring high-quality patient care across both adult and pediatric populations.
Requirements
- RPSGT Certification (Required)
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of sleep tech experience
- Experience with adult & pediatric sleep studies
- Experience with Home Sleep Test setup & scoring
- Proficiency in Epic EMR
- Experience with Natus Sleepworks
- Strong knowledge of AASM guidelines
- Ability to assist with patient movement (lifting up to 75–100 lbs)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in high-volume sleep labs
- Travel/contract experience
- Teaching or preceptor experience
Responsibilities
- Perform and score sleep studies following AASM standards
- Analyze sleep/wake stages and clinical events (respiratory, cardiac, limb movements, arousals)
- Monitor patients throughout studies and ensure safety
- Conduct patient assessments (history, medications, sleep habits)
- Set up and score Home Sleep Tests (HST)
- Generate reports and communicate findings with physicians
- Participate in quality assurance and inter-scorer reliability testing
- Train and mentor new staff members
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
- Operate sleep lab systems including Natus Sleepworks
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
