About The Position

This internship focuses on learning the sales process within the sleep diagnostics and therapeutics field. The intern will work under the guidance of a designated Sleep Sales Representative preceptor to identify and engage with potential referral sources such as physicians, nurse practitioners, and sleep facilities. Key aspects of the role include understanding internal and customer office dynamics, facilitating onboarding and referral processes, and developing effective communication strategies. The intern will also gain experience with sales reporting, product/service communication, and assisting with presentations and contracts. Collaboration with various internal teams and direct patient/referral support are also integral parts of the role, with a focus on learning key performance indicators and pipeline management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and connect with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Sleep Facilities, Clinics, etc., to promote referral capabilities and convert existing and new business opportunities within VieMed.
  • Learn the dynamics of internal and customer office staffs to ensure VieMed onboarding procedures, referral completion process, and appropriate education to system navigation as well as patient identification.
  • Learn workflows with clinical, managerial and sales staff members to promote and market sleep diagnostic and therapeutic services to all referral sources while enhancing VieMed knowledge base and utilization to existing and new accounts.
  • Learn utilization of a variety of status reports - including activity, productivity, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Understand communication process for new products and service opportunities through VieMed, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate referral source staff.
  • Assist in preparation of presentations, proposals, and sales contracts as needed.
  • Coordinate with company staff to accomplish the work required to schedule and close sales.
  • Assist in developing/implementing referral-to-VieMed processes for new partnerships and business models.
  • Participate in internal/external education on referral process improvement with sales/operations leadership team, providers, and business office.
  • Work in conjunction with Sleep Sales Representative & Sales/Operations leadership team for optimal patient and referral communications about orders and escalation of issues.
  • Work with Sleep Sales Representative to directly assist patients and referrals with referral-to-Viemed order issues and concerns.
  • Learn the execution and reporting structure to leadership for weekly referral KPIs/Pipeline Target updates.
