A sleep (polysomnographic) trainee develops competency in and performs basic sleep testing and associated interventions, under the direct supervision of a sleep technologist (RPSGT or RST). Provides education and support to patients and families regarding sleep testing and sleep disorders treatment. This role is part of a career advancement pathway designed to help qualified candidates progress toward becoming a Registered Sleep Technologist through on-the-job experience, training, and professional development opportunities.
