The Polysomnographic Technologist Supervisor, under the direction of the Program Manager and attending Pulmonologist, organizes, administers, and supervises the efficient functioning of the Sleep Lab. As the technical expert for the Sleep Lab, this full time position requires qualified candidates possess at least an Associate's Degree (Bachelors Preferred) in a health care related field. Also a requirement is excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must have documented progressive leadership experience (such as providing and evaluating clinical training programs, scoring and reporting, collaboration with physicians, etc). This supervisor must also be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and be able to make discriminating observations. Patient and family centered care (PFCC) at YNHH is demonstrated by working with patients and their families based on the 4 principles of PFCC: participation, dignity and respect, information sharing, and collaboration. This includes providing service excellence by creating a great "First Impression" by demonstrating exemplary customer service skills for all customer groups including patients, families/friends, physicians, staff and support department personnel.
