About The Position

The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Mayo Clinic Arizona is seeking a full-time physician to join their academic practice with a focus on Sleep Medicine. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and collaborative division committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research. The clinical sleep medicine responsibilities will involve comprehensive evaluation and management of a full spectrum of adult sleep disorders within a state-of-the-art, AASM-accredited sleep center. Subspecialty clinical interests can be supported based on patient demand and provider expertise. The Division currently consists of a large and diverse group of physician faculty and advanced practice providers with expertise in pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and interventional pulmonology. The sleep practice includes a multidisciplinary team with collaboration across pulmonary, neurology, psychiatry, ENT, and cardiology. Advanced therapies such as hypoglossal nerve stimulation for obstructive sleep apnea and phrenic nerve stimulation for central sleep apnea are available. Faculty members hold academic appointments with the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and Science and are actively involved in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows as well as other healthcare professionals. There is a robust fellowship in Sleep Medicine. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and academic productivity, including opportunities for clinical or translational research.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Sleep Medicine.
  • Specialty training including internal medicine, family medicine, pulmonology, neurology or psychiatry.
  • Broad expertise and a commitment to high-quality patient care, education, and scholarly activity.
  • Strong commitment to teaching and academic productivity.
