About The Position

The Hanover Sleep Lab is seeking multiple Sleep Technologists to join their growing and supportive team. This role offers a great career ladder with opportunities for advancement from Sleep Tech Trainee to Senior Sleep Technologist. Eligible hires can receive up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

  • HS diploma (required for Trainee)
  • HS graduate required (for Technologist and Senior Technologist)
  • Graduate from an education program in polysomnography accredited by CAAHEP or CoARC required (for Technologist and Senior Technologist)
  • Sleep credential from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT), the National Board of Respiratory Care (CRT-SDS or RRT-SDS) or the American Board of Sleep Medicine (RST) required (for Technologist and Senior Technologist)
  • 3 years of experience required (for Senior Technologist)
  • Enroll/complete ASTEP in 60 days
  • RST, CPSGT, or RPSGT in one year (if CPSGT, must obtain RPSGT within three years)
  • BLS required based on AHA standards (within 30 days of hire)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) OR Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) with sleep credential (CRT-SDS) OR Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with sleep credential (RRT-SDS)
  • Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) OR Registered Polysomnographic Technologist OR Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months relevant experience in an allied-health field (preferred for Trainee)

Responsibilities

  • Utilize critical thinking and follow department policy and procedure under indirect supervision.
  • Prepare for sleep studies, including reviewing patient charts, testing orders, and verifying patient identification.
  • Set up sleep studies by applying electrodes and sensors according to AASM recommendations and explaining the testing procedure to the patient.
  • Perform all aspects of in-center study acquisition with a focus on quality and exceptional patient care.
  • Perform all aspects of out-of-center study acquisition (when applicable) with a focus on quality and exceptional patient care.
  • Analyze and score sleep studies.
  • Clean equipment and patient rooms.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and care.
  • Inventory and restock lab supplies.
  • Demonstrate continued scoring competency by completing monthly AASM ISR requirements.
  • Participate in department projects under supervision.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
