About The Position

Performs attended, sleep disorder testing. Gathers Patient information. Educates the patient on diagnostic equipment and overnight sleep study.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the specialized field of Polysomnography, EEG Technology, and Respiratory Care
• working towards licensure.

Responsibilities

• Develop weekly testing schedules.
• Prepare diagnostic equipment to perform the sleep studies.
• Acts and dresses in a professional manner, treats patients with courtesy.
• Gather patient information packets which include patient consent forms, pre sleep questionnaires, and technologist’s comments sheets.
• Set-up, instruct, and educate the patients on testing procedures.
• Answer any questions the patients may have.
• The technician shall be available to our patients throughout entire process.
• Retrieve the equipment, patient consent form, and post sleep questionnaires.
• Documents his/her report on the technologist comments sheet.
