About The Position

Welcome to Schweitzer—where passionate mountain recreation pros work hard and play harder. The host is the first and last contact the guest has with our lodge; therefore, how you represent the Sky House goes a long way in determining whether the guest will become a regular. Host/busser’s are required to possess professionalism, a friendly and welcoming demeanor, and an efficient manner.

Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills
English reading, writing and communication, basic math
4-6 months of job-specific work experience preferred
Must be available weekends.
All sensory skills needed.

Nice To Haves

Extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities.

Responsibilities

Professionally and calmly maintain steady, even flow of seating.
Responsible to greet all guests and respond appropriately to requests and special needs.
Give guests approximate wait they may experience and offer them a beverage.
Seat guests with consideration guest preference, servers’ workload, and seating capacity.
Hand out menus to guest and bring booster seats or highchair for young guests.
Quickly inform servers of where guests have been seated and relay any special requests.
Thank guests for dining upon leaving and invite them to return.
Perform other tasks to assist in the smooth operation of the restaurant to assure guest satisfaction.
Will clean and reset tables.
Help servers with side work.
Serve guests water and refill soda.
