About The Position

The Skipper Driver is responsible for the operation of a grease collection truck, fat and bone collection truck, and tractor trailer for raw material collection and finish goods deliveries. This role involves maintaining containers and providing quality service to customers. The work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with a variable start time as this is a fill-in driver position. Overnight runs may be required, and a shift differential of $.50 will be provided for covering these shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age with a clean MVR.
Current CDL "A" license holder with tanker endorsement.

Responsibilities

Pump or load grease containers, ensuring the cleanliness of the container and surrounding area.
Return containers with screen and lock secured, noting any damages to the container or corral area.
Properly complete route tickets with customer signatures.
Service customer containers and/or trailers (bulk or retail), ensuring cleanliness of trailers and/or containers and surrounding area.
Tarp trailers as required before leaving the customer location.
Operate company vehicle, keeping it in clean condition.
Conduct all safety checks and inspections of the vehicle.
Operate vehicle under state, federal, and local regulations, and in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Observe all company safety rules.
Maintain excellent customer relations by presenting a professional appearance and attitude.
Complete all company-required paperwork, including route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, and service forms.
Maintain and update the vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
