About The Position

As a Skip Trace Specialist, you will locate customers and collateral using various investigative (skip tracing) techniques. All duties and tasks must be completed by adhering to FDCPA and CFPB regulations. Manages a repossession queue of approximately 70-100 accounts maintaining charge offs at an acceptable rate as determined by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year of skip tracing experience
  • Previous collections or call center experience
  • Strong understanding of skip tracing and systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent phone and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and complete skip tracing activities on all assigned accounts to prevent the charge off and company loan loss.
  • This includes inbound/outbound calls to discuss delinquency resolution.
  • Maintain and establish new repossession and transport vendor relationships.
  • Manage all accounts that have been assigned to them from the repossession assignment to the transportation of the vehicle to the auction.
  • Completes required applicable paperwork including sending all required Federal and State regulation letters.
