Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Class II power tow motor certification.
  • Ability and willingness to read and comprehend all required daily paperwork, labels, and computer work.
  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions and computer functions.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 40 pounds frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.
  • Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
  • Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
  • 3 months work history with the same employer.

Nice To Haves

  • Machine Operator experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • RF Scanner experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Transporting racks on smokehouse racks to the drencher and transporting them to the smokehouse staging area.
  • Lift a maximum of 40 pounds eye level and above, push 500-pound racks.
  • Scaling, measuring, and recording information as required by Quality Control or management.
  • Setup and remove various machines and clean out metal detectors.
  • Remove full racks, scale, and enter information into the computer.
  • Help empty inedible pans.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.
