About The Position

Responsible for learning how to maintain sharp tools to perform their job task correctly; making precision cuts to carcass that allows for correct further processing to achieve desired carcass yield; making precision cuts to carcass to remove hide only to achieve desired carcass yield; operating a powered tool to perform job task. Average training time may require 2-3 months. Must also adheres to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. Responsible for setting up area with all needed equipment. Monitor production area for trash and food debris on floor. Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent. Must be willing and able: Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds. Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals. Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas. Must be able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting. Must be able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours. Must be able to work in a wet environment. Must be able to complete cycles in less than 10 seconds.

  • Must have 6 MThs continuous employment in the last 18 months.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to complete work cycles in less than 20 seconds.
  • Must be able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Must clean up area at end of production shift, including but not limited to sweeping, picking up debris from the floor, and spraying work areas.
  • Must be able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
  • Must be able to work in a wet environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred candidates will have at least 6 MThs of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture or production experience.
