The Northeast Arc helps people with disabilities become full participants in the community; choosing for themselves how to live, learn, work, socialize and play. The Skills Trainer plays a meaningful, community-facing role within Northeast Arc's Personal Care Management (PCM) program, directly supporting that mission every day. The Northeast Arc Personal Care Management (PCM) program serves about 5,000 individuals living in communities throughout northeastern Massachusetts, Greater Boston, and the Metro West area. As a Skills Trainer, you will work at the heart of this program, helping people with long-term disabilities navigate the MassHealth Personal Care Attendant (PCA) program so they can live at home with greater independence and confidence. The Skills Trainer assists service recipients in the application for and management of Personal Care Attendant (PCA) program services. This includes assessing personal care needs, guiding consumers through the application process, and providing hands-on education so they are equipped to successfully manage their own care. The role combines office and community-based work, offering variety and the opportunity to build genuine, lasting relationships with the individuals you serve.
