About The Position

Mat-Su Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Skills Development Specialist to join their Community Services Team. This role involves providing life skill development strategies, peer support through lived experiences, and assisting clients in accessing services and community resources. The position requires monitoring and documenting client behavior, coordinating client activities with various agencies, participating in treatment planning, assessments, and crisis intervention. The specialist will also maintain accurate client records and complete written documentation within established time frames. This role offers the opportunity to work with a mission-driven team serving vulnerable and underserved populations.

Requirements

• Lived experiences as a direct support or peer support professional.
• Ability to monitor, document and report on client behavior.
• Ability to assist in the coordination of client activities with various agencies.
• Ability to participate in treatment planning sessions, assessments and crisis intervention measures.
• Ability to maintain accurate client records and complete written documentation within established time frames.
• Ability to provide skills training and various therapeutic interventions to clients.
• Ability to communicate effectively working independently to plan, schedule and conduct program activities.
• Ability to complete activity documentation within established time frames.
• Adherence to HIPAA laws.
• Ability to consistently relate in a positive, courteous and caring manner.
