About The Position

Mat-Su Health Services, Inc. is looking for a Skills Development Specialist to join their Community Services Team. This role serves in a support function for the community services team by providing life skill development strategies, peer support through lived experiences, and assisting clients in accessing services and community resources. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and leveraging their lived experiences as a direct support or peer support professional.

Requirements

• Lived experiences as a direct support or peer support professional.
• Ability to monitor, document, and report on client behavior.
• Ability to assist in the coordination of client activities with various agencies.
• Ability to participate in treatment planning sessions, assessments, and crisis intervention measures.
• Ability to maintain accurate client records and complete written documentation within established time frames.
• Ability to provide skills training and various therapeutic interventions to clients.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently to plan, schedule, and conduct program activities.
• Ability to complete activity documentation within established time frames.
• Adherence to HIPAA laws.
• Ability to consistently relate in a positive, courteous, and caring manner to clients, team members, and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting.
• Experience in integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health care.
• Experience working with vulnerable and underserved populations.

Responsibilities
