About The Position

Ergon Associated Asphalt Partners is seeking a full-time Skilled Tradesman at their Roanoke, VA facility. This role involves working with a tight-knit team to solve everyday issues in producing high-quality asphalt binder. The company is relationship-driven, family-owned, and values employee learning and contribution, maintaining a small-company feel despite having locations throughout the U.S. and Mexico. The ideal candidate will possess good organizational, time management, problem-solving, and housekeeping skills, with a willingness to learn new skills and contribute to improving the facility. A Skilled Tradesman is a highly skilled professional specializing in one or more trade professions, providing preventive maintenance, general maintenance, and repair functions within the terminal. This position collaborates closely with terminal operators and leadership to ensure facilities and equipment are adequately maintained and in proper working order. The role will also interface with customers, vendors, and other company employees, including working with outside vendors for third-party maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

Able to perform all of the Terminal Operator I and Operator II functions proficiently.
Ability to perform advanced functions as required by terminal including PMA, Emulsion and Injecting Concentrate.
Developing and maintaining preventive maintenance schedules for all tanks and equipment.
Maintaining parts inventory for repairs and maintenance.
Ordering required parts and equipment needed for general maintenance and repair.
Able to perform major maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment including rebuilding pumps.
Assist with the development and execution of project work.
Train terminal operators on performing maintenance inspections and general maintenance tasks.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Must have a valid driver's license.
