About The Position

The Skilled Tradesman Generalist is responsible for performing general maintenance work within his/her assigned residence hall. These duties require basic knowledge of carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc. Other duties as assigned. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. This position is designated as weather/event essential.

Requirements

• The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
• Valid Driver’s License
• At least four years of general building maintenance experience including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and/or painting

Nice To Haves

• At least seven years of general building maintenance experience including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and/or painting

Responsibilities

• Performing general maintenance work within his/her assigned residence hall.
• Other duties as assigned.
