About The Position

Performance Contracting employs a variety of skilled trades to perform construction, installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. These roles involve working with various materials and equipment to ensure the safety, functionality, and structural integrity of buildings and industrial facilities. Many positions require physical labor, including prolonged periods of standing, working outdoors, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

Must be an active member of the union in good standing (in non-right to work states).
Ability to perform basic math.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Prolonged periods standing and working outside.
Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves

May include supervisory responsibilities.
On-the-job training offered.

Responsibilities

Work or removal of materials that have potential to create hazardous exposure (asbestos, lead, mold).
Perform carpentry work in construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of wooden structures and fixtures.
Apply fireproofing materials in commercial construction sites.
Prepare work areas by transporting tools and equipment, loading/unloading materials, and cleaning construction sites.
Set up paint pots and utilize paint systems to mix and apply industrial coatings.
Mix and prepare plastering/EIFS materials, install EIFS substrate, and plaster systems.
Construct, fabricate, and install structural steel and iron components.
Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
Operate and maintain heavy equipment for construction, excavation, and earthmoving tasks.
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and piping networks.
Install, repair, and replace glass in structures.
Construct, assemble, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, and other large metal containers.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
Install, repair, and maintain roofs to provide weather protection.
Cut, shape, and install sheet metal for ducts, roofs, and other components.
Operate and drive trucks or other heavy vehicles to transport goods and materials.
