About The Position
Sarasota County is seeking qualified candidates for various Skilled Trades positions across multiple departments. This is an opportunity to learn more about open roles and interview directly with hiring managers at a job fair. Ad-Vance Staffing, a staffing agency partner, will also be on-site offering temp-to-hire opportunities with quick start dates. The interview process may include phone, Microsoft Teams video, and/or in-person interviews. Required documents for employment include I-9 acceptable documents for identity and work authorization, and a U.S. Social Security Card.
Requirements
- I-9 Acceptable Documents to show identity and authorization to work
- U.S. Social Security Card (signed, physical card)
- Florida Driver’s License (if required for the position)
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment
- Perform landscape maintenance
- Conduct stormwater aquatic maintenance
- Perform HVAC facilities/maintenance
- Perform lighting and public district coordination
- Work as a Traffic Signal Electrician
- Work as a Traffic Control Technician
