About The Position

A Skilled Trades Helper will assist skilled tradesmen in all areas of the physical facilities of the campus. A Skilled Trades Helper may assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, grounds care, and mechanical systems. A Skilled Trades Helper will participate in training and demonstrate a willingness to learn a craft. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in the various trade areas
Skilled in the use of operation and care of tools and machinery
Ability to learn to perform manual labor under varying working conditions
Ability to understand and follow oral instructions
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
At least 18 years of age
Valid Driver's License
Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

Experience working and/or assisting an Electrician, Plumber, HVAC Technician or Mechanic
