About The Position

Assist heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) Technician to maintain, repair and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment throughout the district. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all HVAC systems in district facilities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas driver's license
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Physically fit with good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and sense of balance
• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds
• Good human relations skills and ability to work with others

• Some knowledge helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC Technician in completing work orders.
• Organize materials as instructed.
• Abide by all safety rules.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
• Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
