About The Position
South Port Square, a 40-acre campus in Port Charlotte, is seeking a hospitality-driven professional to join their dedicated team. For over 35 years, South Port Square has been meeting the growing needs of retirees and seniors and is managed by Life Care Services (LCS). They strive to create an environment of trust and transparency, helping employees find purpose in their work and reach their highest potential. The CNA assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.
Requirements
- Successful completion from a state approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
- Registration with state registry required.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to document care given.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
- Gives treatment, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
- Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
- Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
- Answer signal lights promptly.
- Changes bed linens, makes beds, and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
