Requirements

Technical knowledge/ability required.
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic.
One year experience in plant and/or residential maintenance necessary.
GED or High School Diploma Required.
Be passionate for providing the best care for the residents we serve.
Enjoy working in a fast paced, changing work environment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and emergency repairs in the independent living building including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes and fittings, repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures, doors and locks, etc.
Perform all necessary scheduled preventative maintenance procedures on designated equipment while following manufacturer’s recommendations.
Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.
Complete all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed.
Will assist other maintenance personnel, when necessary, in the completion of various projects or repairs.
