About The Position

An opportunity exists at G&E Contracting LP for Skilled Labourers and
Experienced Excavator Operators. These are full-time positions based out G&E’s
Langford yard in Victoria with jobsites in the local area, reporting to the Site
Foreman.

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in operating varied size excavators in a civil construction environment
• Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract is required
• Dedicated, committed and safety conscious
• Able to work within a team environment
• Able to take direction and instructions

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating backhoes and skid steers beneficial

Responsibilities

• Excavation of drain and sewer lines
• Grading for road works
• Excavation for concrete structures
• Working around shoring systems
• Installing water/sewer and drainage utilities
• Accurate backfilling and final grading
