About The Position

Audubon is currently seeking a Skilled Laborer to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Skilled Laborer performs a wide range of tasks which include organizing, cleaning, retrieving, fire watching, and assignments instructed by supervisors.

Requirements

Four years' experience in the construction industry.
Construction safety practices.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
Must be able to obtain site & Safety training certifications required for the project.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate and report effectively.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train in proper work and safety procedures.
Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.

Nice To Haves

Related trade school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

Position may perform a large range of manual activities including but not limited to moving equipment, digging, retrieving equipment, standing by for fire safety, and any other work instructed by a supervisor or a journeyman.
Use fire extinguisher.
Climb on to structures and Scaffolding.
Uses rigging and hoisting devices such as chokers, chain falls and come along to move equipment / materials into place.
Runs errands to support the work site.
Conducts preventative maintenance such as lubrication and fixing or repairing worn parts.
Performs a variety of tasks involving safe dexterous use of hand tools.
Follow directions from supervisor.
Cleans tools, equipment, material, and work areas.
Stocks drinking water containers for the construction site personnel.
Spend time on job and can be transferred to another job as project progresses.
Maybe assigned hole watch and/or Firewatch duties.
Digs, spreads, levels dirt and gravel, to fine grade specifications using hand tools.
