Skilled Construction Labourer - Downtown Vancouver

Our General Labour team will be directly assisting and helping out with labour, delivery management, loading and unloading materials and operating forklifts, telehandlers and other small tools and machinery on-site. Our site operates from 7:30am until 4pm, Monday to Friday with the opportunity for overtime and occasional Saturday work.
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to perform the required tasks (lifting, carrying, moving materials up to 50lbs.)
- Good work ethic and attitude towards hard work and longer hours
- A good understanding of construction sites and general knowledge of the industry
- Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye to identify issues or problems before they arise
- Flexibility in accepting tasks and helping various teams
- A desire to build and grow your career within a well-established organization in the Vancouver construction field
Responsibilities
- Working with the Foreman to maintain and manage the upkeep of the site
- Basic carpentry to build and maintain stairs, guardrails and other basic tasks using power-tools
- Loading and unloading of materials and supplies in a safe, secure and efficient manner
- Making sure walkways are clear and free of trip hazards
- Performing routine inspections and clean-up of common areas and equipment storage
- Helping to move materials and equipment wherever needed on-site
- Performing basic tasks with trades and skilled workers (up to using hand tools)
- General manual labor tasks as assigned by the Foreman
