About The Position

We are seeking a calm, compassionate caregiver to support an older adult returning home during a highly fragile stage of life. This individual spent decades serving others in a leadership role and now needs patient, respectful assistance as physical needs increase. The home environment requires a caregiver who can provide excellent hands-on care while preserving dignity, emotional comfort, and a sense of partnership. This is not a task-focused assignment. Success comes from building trust, providing reassurance, and creating a calm presence for both members of the household.

Requirements

• Experience with transfers, personal care, and mobility assistance
• Comfortable supporting individuals experiencing cognitive decline
• Patient, gentle communication style
• Ability to provide step-by-step cueing during care activities
• Strong understanding of dignity-centered care
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting families navigating serious illness or hospice care is a plus

• Bed bath assistance and personal care
