(USA) SkillBridge Military Fellowship - Automation Distribution Warehouse Maintenance
About The Position
Walmart Inc. is an authorized Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge industry partner, supporting transitioning Service members as they prepare to move into the civilian workforce. Through SkillBridge, eligible Service members can complete a hands-on fellowship during their final 180 days of service, gaining training, development, and real-world experience aligned to in-demand roles across Walmart’s business. This is a temporary role, not to exceed 180 days, aligning with the approved SkillBridge window. Career opportunities in Distribution Warehouse Maintenance include Battery Changer, Custodial, Licensed Electricians, and Maintenance Technicians providing repairs and proactive maintenance on facility equipment. The objective of the program is to provide quality skill development to all participants. While job opportunities may be available, an offer of full-time employment is not guaranteed. Over the course of the SkillBridge experience, participants will have the opportunity to translate military experience into civilian skills, build role-specific capability through training, mentorship, and on-the-job learning, and develop a network and increase readiness for post-separation employment.
Requirements
- Active Duty U.S. Military Service members only
- Command approval to participate
- Eligible for DoD SkillBridge program (final 180 days of service)
- Entry- to mid-level opportunities (Senior-level consideration may be available based on applicable industry experience and transferable military background)
