Responsibilities

  • Perform final testing, startup, and commissioning of electrical distribution equipment.
  • Design, install, and maintain equipment used to monitor and control systems, machinery, and processes.
  • Support Information System (IS) Security Engineering efforts to ensure a strong organizational cybersecurity posture by implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, availability, and optimization of databases. May be responsible for developing scripts and developing, implementing, administering policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Design, implement, and support power systems including electrical and alternative power systems, microgrid applications, automation and protection controls, critical power, and applications software.
  • Design, implement, and support mission-critical facility operations and energy optimization using BIM; energy management automation and controls, and reporting applications software.
  • Design, install, and support network systems such as switches, routers, wireless access infrastructure, VOIP, etc.
  • Design, install, and support advanced physical security systems including CCTV; access control & intrusion detection; command and control centers.
  • Design, install, and support modular design and project execution software systems using BIM and other advanced modeling and simulation; engineering and simulation test lab endeavors; passive cabling and active component communication systems design.
  • Design, install, and support industrial automation and controls; transit systems; smart city and other large-scale infrastructure enterprise IoT solutions; integrated power automation and controls; and energy efficiency and optimization applications software.
  • Design, install, and maintain telecommunication equipment and systems.
  • Support Cyber Security Engineers and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Analysts Design and Implement DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on IT and OT systems.
  • Install basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Participation in M.C. Dean’s Apprenticeship program may be required.
  • Support C4ISR system installation on ships and submarines.
  • Install and/or maintain electronic security systems.
  • Install and maintain telecommunication systems.
  • Responsible for assisting in, preparing, and coordinating project requirements, planning, and deliverables.
  • Provide administrative assistance using various tools and applications.
