SkillBridge Fellowship - Transitioning Military
About The Position
MTSI participates in the Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge Program, giving eligible transitioning service members the opportunity to gain civilian work experience and prepare for careers after military service. This posting represents ongoing interest in the program and is not tied to a specific opening. Fellowship opportunities depend on eligibility, timing, location, anticipated hiring needs, and the availability of an appropriate training experience. MTSI offers participation through scheduled Hiring Our Heroes (HoH) fellowship cohorts or directly through MTSI off-cycle fellowships, which provide greater flexibility for different transition timelines. Applicants provide information about their military experience, career interests, preferred location, and transition timeline. If there is potential alignment, MTSI's Talent Acquisition team may connect with the applicant and determine whether an appropriate team and approved training experience are available. Each fellowship is developed around the individual and an approved training plan. Fellows can apply and build on skills developed during military service, gain practical civilian experience, learn tools and processes, receive mentorship and professional development support, build relationships across MTSI, and explore potential long-term career alignment. Training activities vary by fellowship and must comply with SkillBridge requirements and the applicable training plan. MTSI seeks matches with potential for fellows to continue as full-time employees after military service, but applying or participating does not guarantee placement or employment. Continued employment depends on successful fellowship completion, mutual fit, an available position, and applicable position requirements. Fellows must satisfy applicable DoW and military service eligibility requirements and obtain approval through their service and chain of command. Additional requirements may vary by fellowship and may include location, education or experience, security clearance, and site access.
