About The Position

This position will work with both our shuttle and guest services department in providing exceptional hospitality to our guests and owners. This position is integral in delivering a pleasant, positive and memorable vacation experience to visitors by being professional, courteous, and helpful while coordinating the ski valet operation.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Track and Breezeway.
  • 2 years of previous work history/education required
  • Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Greets and assists owners and guests, and coordinates ski valet.
  • Transports ski to and from the property and organize storage at the valet.
  • Serve as the liaison between the guest/owners and all guest service agents/shuttle drivers with all aspects ski and snowboard equipment related to storage, pick-up and drop-off of equipment.
  • Must be able to assist with bell duties such as loading equipment in and out, luggage assistance and groceries.
  • Answers inquiries pertaining to resort services; registration of guests; shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
  • Provides Shuttle Service as necessary and if able according to company policy: providing safe transportation of guests/owners to and from the ski area as well as around town.
  • Loading and unloading luggage and ski equipment.
  • May involve carrying heavy loads up and down stairs.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
