About The Position

Spirit Mountain Recreation Area is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as a Ski Shop Attendant/Cashier for the upcoming winter season. This is a seasonal, part-time role perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about delivering excellent guest service. The position involves retail sales, customer service, and managing transactions at the ski shop.

Requirements

Previous retail experience.
Strong ability to interact with guests; customer service experience is highly desired.
Physical ability to engage in tasks requiring standing, lifting, or bending.
POS experience, cash handling, and counting experience.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
Minimum age of 18 years.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with ticket sales or rental operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct retail sales using the point-of-sale system.
Organize and clean the shop.
Provide detailed information about products and Spirit Mountain facilities.
Efficiently manage transactions.
Check in and out cash banks daily and conduct appropriate reconciliation.
Perform regular inventory checks and adjustments on retail items.
Assist guests with appropriate outdoor attire, including base layers and staying warm.
Engage guests, calm nerves, and be friendly as a guest experience provider.
Uphold a high standard of service, cleanliness, and safety.
Assist and guide less experienced staff.
Resolve guest inquiries and issues with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations during peak times.
