Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum qualification of first responder.
Current OEC certification/EMT or above.
Must be advanced/expert skier/snowboarder.
Must be able to work in a crowded, fast-paced environment.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time indoors and outdoors.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall safety and security of the snow sports area.
Check all open trails for hazards.
Place bamboo if needed and/or remove it in snow making areas.
Remove any obstructions on open terrain.
Report snow conditions to lead patrol/hill captain, lift supervisor, and Director of Recreation.
Respond immediately to emergency incidents.
Responsible for opening and closing the trails.
Responsible for marking and removing any hazards on trails.
Respond to medical emergencies on the mountain as well as on property.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the patrol director.
